Site Reliability Engineer (Bucharest, Romania) - Fulltime

Job Description

Alchemy is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to join their team in Bucharest, Romania. Alchemy's mission is to bring web3 to a billion people. The successful candidate will be responsible for converting manual operational tasks into automated processes, building and maintaining tools and infrastructure, and ensuring system scalability, high availability, and resilience.

• Designing, building, and refactoring software components.
• Participating in on-call rotation and responding to infrastructure incidents.
• Proactively addressing bugs and bottlenecks.
• Defining and choosing SLI/SLOs.
• Identifying and addressing design bottlenecks.
• Mentoring new hires.
• Supporting code-related problems.

Requirements:

• Experience writing code in one or more programming languages (Python, Golang, Java, Rust).
• Experience developing software applications and tools from scratch.
• Experience designing and managing the lifecycle of complex systems.
• Expertise in operating Linux-based systems.
• Experience managing large-scale infrastructures running on Baremetal, Public and Private cloud and Container-based infrastructure .
• Knowledge of protocols across the stack such as HTTP, DNS, DHCP, routing protocols.
• Experience with IaaC such as Terraform or Pulumi, and Configuration Management tools.
• Experience with one or more CI/CD solutions.
• Experience implementing monitoring and logging solutions.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Thanos, Splunk, Grafana, Graphite, Loki, etc.
• Great communication skills.
