Job Description
Chainguard is seeking a Manager of Strategic Sales Development to lead and mentor a team of BDRs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inbound lead qualification and outbound opportunity generation. This role involves hiring and onboarding new BDRs, developing and implementing strategies to optimize team performance, and tracking KPIs. The Manager will provide coaching, drive progress toward pipeline targets, and foster a collaborative environment.Role involves:
  • Building out the BDR function
  • Developing team skills for prospecting and qualification
  • Providing ongoing feedback and coaching
  • Working with Demand Generation and Sales teams
  • Developing effective messaging for target accounts
  • Ensuring alignment on strategy and execution
  • Monitoring team performance metrics
Requirements:
  • 2+ years leading a BDR team (Cybersecurity, DevSecOps preferred)
  • Experience with funnel management
  • Enablement experience in onboarding and developing teams
  • Experience with CRM platforms and lead generation software
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Proven ability to recruit, hire, and train
  • Aptitude for identifying challenges and developing solutions
  • Understanding of B2B software and the developer product space
