Senior Product Engineer

Job Description

Together AI is seeking a Senior Product Engineer to develop applications and user experiences. The candidate will engage in hands-on software design and development, collaborating with leads, designers, and product managers to deliver experiences. He/she will develop technical proposals, identify opportunities, and lead the development of solutions from deployment to evaluation. The role also involves identifying and addressing performance bottlenecks.

• Creating web interfaces and interactive experiences.
• Building developer tools for AI systems.
• Scoping, designing, and leading technical projects.
• Debugging production issues and improving maintainability.
• Improving engineering standards, tooling, and processes.
• Participating in design meetings, hiring interviews, and code reviews.
• Ensuring UI components and libraries are reliable, secure, extensible, and accessible.
• Translating high-level designs into production-ready UI.
• Communicating effectively with stakeholders.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Expertise in React, Next.js, and TypeScript.
• Experience operating and configuring services at scale.
• Experience designing technical solutions/systems.
• Experience shipping large features or entire products at scale.
• Experience with developer tool web applications.
• Experience with designing data intensive and highly responsive web applications.
• Design-oriented approach and a strong sense of aesthetics.
• Deep understanding of usability issues in web applications.
• Excellent oral and written communication.
• Experience building web APIs with NodeJS, especially with document databases such as MongoDB.
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment.
• Ability to write high-performance, reusable code, including appropriate testing.
