Systems Engineer, Simulations at Harbinger Motors Inc.

Harbinger Motors is seeking a Systems Engineer to join their team in Garden Grove, CA. This engineer will be responsible for developing, validating, and maintaining simulation models to guide vehicle development across various domains, including powertrain, thermal management, energy consumption, and vehicle dynamics. The role involves documenting and analyzing simulation results, recommending improvements to the engineering team, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

What this role involves:

• Developing and documenting vehicle and system 1D simulation models.
• Performing vehicle-level simulations and analysis, documenting results in reports.
• Recommending vehicle and system improvements and creating requirements.
• Correlating models to physical testing by writing test plans and updating models.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure simulations represent vehicle components.
• Using simulation to root cause issues and develop solutions.
• Defining and developing internal simulation standards and best practices.

Who is suitable for this role:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience using simulations in the automotive field or similar.
• Experience with Matlab/Simulink for simulating complex systems.
• Knowledge of industry standards and best practices related to automotive systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and communication skills.
