VML & Ogilvy Japan is seeking a Digital Art Director to join its creative team in Tokyo. The role involves collaborating with creative, business, and strategy teams on projects for high-profile clients.

The Digital Art Director will contribute to developing creative proposals, ideas, and solutions for clients' business needs based on consumer insights and data. They should have experience in digital marketing channels such as CRM/Royalty, programmatic, and social media.

This person will be responsible for visual production, photography, and post-production direction, as well as planning and idea development for campaigns, promotions, and content, and assisting in development of international advertising awards and service solutions. He/She will also present projects to clients and construct associated decks, mockups and comps.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing creative proposals, ideas, and solutions for clients.
  • Visual production, photography, and post-production direction.
  • Planning and idea development for campaigns, promotions, and content.
  • Client presentation and communication.
  • Contributing to the development of international advertising awards and service solutions.

Requirements include:

  • 3+ years of agency/production experience on a creative team
  • Experience in digital, social, and mobile marketing.
  • Knowledge of CX/Prototyping.
  • Strong visual communication skills.
  • Native-level Japanese and daily conversational English.
  • Experience with Photoshop, Illustrator, Keynote, and PowerPoint.
  • Positive and teamwork-oriented attitude.
