SoundHound AI is seeking a Principal Research Engineer to join their Generative AI team. This role is at the intersection of data and engineering and involves leading research to enhance the company's conversational AI platform. The Principal Research Engineer will focus on natural language understanding, dialogue generation, and context-aware conversational systems. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate research findings into products and solutions, as well as mentor junior researchers.Role Responsibilities:

• Lead and contribute to groundbreaking research in Generative AI
• Develop novel algorithms and models

Candidate Requirements:

• Ph.D. in Computer Science and 8+ years of relevant industry experience
• Expertise in Generative AI with a portfolio of publications and projects
• Proficiency in deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch)
• In-depth knowledge of NLP techniques
• Strong Python programming skills
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
