Dialpad is seeking a Senior Revenue Accountant to manage the end-to-end revenue recognition process, adhering to US GAAP and ASC 606 within a high-growth SaaS model. This role involves collaborating with the billing team to ensure accurate revenue documentation and reconciliation for monthly, quarterly, and year-end closures. The Senior Revenue Accountant will also work closely with the Deal Desk, Customer Success, and Technical Accounting teams to define processes for documenting accounting treatments for credits, amendments, and non-standard contract terms, enhancing existing revenue recognition procedures and controls.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and contribute to the Company's revenue recognition framework by completing month-end revenue recognition posting and reconciliations.
- Partner with Billing team to ensure accurate data inputs and understanding of revenue sources for accurate revenue posting.
- Execute the SaaS revenue recognition accounting model within the respective systems and tools.
- Develop new strategies to improve accuracy and timeliness of revenue management.
- Develop internal finance controls based on industry best practices.
- Direct the continued implementation and improvement of technical tools to reduce manual business processes.
- Work with the cross-functional team on new product introduction and revenue recognition considerations.
- Work pro-actively with executive management on new business arrangements and related revenue recognition considerations.
- Assist in other ad-hoc revenue related accounting activities.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience with a proven track record of supporting US based teams and strong knowledge of US GAAP.
- Understanding of both ASC 606 and the SaaS revenue model, with a minimum of 2 years in revenue accounting
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships among multiple teams within a physically remote environment.
- Great attention to detail and a passion for meeting and beating deadlines with an energy to drive tasks to completion.
- Work hours will follow US Pacific Time zone.
