Account Manager, Shanghai at Adyen

Adyen is seeking an experienced Account Manager to join their commercial team in Shanghai. This role focuses on managing key account relationships across various industries and channels for cross-border merchants. The Account Manager will drive growth by increasing share of wallet, cross-selling, and upselling, while also providing valuable insights and developing robust relationships with enterprise merchants and key contacts.

The ideal candidate will be a proactive networker with strong commercial acumen, comfortable in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment.

What this role involves:

• Being fully responsible for the success and satisfaction of merchants.
• Driving growth through increasing share of wallet, cross-selling & upselling, bringing valuable insights, and building strong relationships with key contacts
• Building and sustaining relationships with key merchant stakeholders, and leveraging those relationships to drive the best possible merchant experience
• Assessing, clarifying, and validating customer needs on an ongoing basis.
• Coordinating any internal project regarding merchants
• Work and collaborate with colleagues in the global Adyen team

Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience managing enterprise-level clients.
• Track record of winning share of wallet, cross-selling & upselling deals for digital and retail clients
• Excellent project management skills.
• High-energy, dynamic, hands-on self-starter with a proven commercial edge and entrepreneurial drive
• Excellent communicator who can build relations at all levels
• Native Mandarin speaker and have full professional proficiency in English
• Professional working experience in China
• Willingness to travel (25%)
