Accounts Receivable Specialist at Ahrefs

Ahrefs is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to manage day-to-day A/R operations and build efficient processes. This role involves assisting the sales team with the quote to cash process, ensuring deal compliance, and collaborating with the accounting department to manage systems. The role involves:

• Developing understanding of Ahrefs internal tools and business practices
• Managing the collections process
• Processing customer billings and verifying invoice accuracy
• Posting customer payments and cash deposits
• Reconciling customer accounts and resolving discrepancies
• Managing billing inquiries from customers and internal teams
• Uploading invoices against POs in vendor portals
• Following up on past due invoices
• Serving as a trusted advisor to sales, customer success, and support
• Maintaining AR process documentation
• Assisting with year-end audits and ad hoc projects

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related area
• 1-3 years relevant experience in a technology company/startup (preferred)
• Highly detail-oriented with multitasking abilities
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Sharp attention to detail and comfort with numbers
• Comfort with ambiguity in a fast-moving, international environment
• Ability to adapt to changes in products, policies, and procedures
• Ability to work with remote teams
• Customer service-oriented with strong relationship-building skills
