Adyen is seeking a Senior Account Manager to join their team in Sydney. This role involves managing relationships with international merchants and providing payments expertise to help them grow. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach.
Adyen is the financial technology platform of choice for leading companies like Meta, Uber, H&M and Microsoft.
What You’ll Do:
- Relationship management: Build deep trusting relationships with decision makers and executives on our most strategic accounts.
- Commercial acumen: Drive commercial negotiations with customers to win new business and close complex deals.
- Strategic consultation: Act as the human dimension of Adyen’s product by delivering payments expertise and guidance to customers.
- Leadership: Be a senior presence and source of knowledge on the team, and help others level up through training and mentorship.
- Project management: Be proactive and prioritize across multiple projects and teams to ensure thorough execution on cross-regional projects involving internal and external stakeholders.
- Feedback: Advocate and champion for your customers internally and serve as a feedback loop to influence Adyen’s product roadmap.
Who You Are:
- Commercial experience working within payments or financial services.
- A born networker with high energy, self-starter with a proven commercial and organisational strength, entrepreneurial track record and strong negotiation skills.
- A strategic thinker with excellent project management skills and the ability to lead and manage time-sensitive, cross-functional initiatives in a fast-paced, highly entrepreneurial environment with little supervision.
- A natural communicator and team player, comfortable driving technical and commercial discussions.
- A problem solver, naturally curious and comfortable navigating ambiguity to find solutions for technical, commercial, and operational challenges.
- A cross functional project manager of commercial, operational, and technical projects.
- Have a hands-on mentality being able to set the path for your merchants, at the same time as making smart decisions on prioritisation and delegation while looking at short- and long term planning.
