Adyen is seeking an AML & Screening Investigator to join their team in São Paulo. Adyen is a financial technology platform that provides payments, data, and financial products in a single solution for customers like Meta, Uber, H&M, and Microsoft.

The AML & Screening Investigator will be responsible for investigating alerts on unusual transactions, reviewing and resolving daily screening alerts, performing thorough research and risk assessments, and proposing ideas for improvement of internal processes and workflows. The investigator will also help onboard new members of the team.

This role requires flexibility to rotate workload evenly over the team, sometimes including public holidays and weekends, with additional compensation provided as per the applicable CBA.

What this role involves:

  • Investigating alerts on unusual transactions.
  • Reviewing and resolving daily screening alerts using internal and external systems and databases.
  • Performing thorough research and risk assessments based on findings.
  • Escalating claims to the Compliance team for further analysis and resolution.
  • Ad-hoc analysis of- and investigations into merchants’ Compliance Risk Profile.
  • Proposing ideas for improvement of internal processes and workflows.
  • Helping onboard new members of the team.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge and curiosity about FinTech developments.
  • 3 year of experience in skilled with investigate alerts on unusual transactions AML.
  • Affinity for AML/CDD/KYC operational processes.
  • Excellent communication skills and fluency in Portuguese and English.
  • Great sense of responsibility and ownership of work.
  • Reliable team player with problem-solving skills.
  • Naturally curious with strong analytical skills.
  • Sense of urgency and ability to prioritize.
