Team Lead, CDD Underwriting

Job Description

Adyen is seeking a highly motivated and experienced CDD Underwriting Team Lead to join its Customer Due Diligence (CDD) department in Singapore. The Team Lead will play a crucial role in driving initiatives and improvements within the team, ensuring adherence to regulations, and optimizing internal processes. This is a full-time, in-office position for a company that values in-person collaboration.

Role Involves:

• Leading a team responsible for onboarding and risk assessments of new and existing clients.
• Conducting risk assessments in accordance with regulations and internal KYC procedures.
• Leading and driving process improvements, providing insights and guidance towards these initiatives.
• Evaluating existing procedures and challenging their efficacy to optimize merchant onboarding.
• Providing advice and assistance to Commercial and Product teams to increase customer satisfaction and improve automation rates.
• Ensuring continuous team growth and competence improvements.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of formal people management experience in risk, operations, or compliance.
• Firm understanding of AML, KYC, PCI, Scheme rules, and internal controls.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask effectively.
• People-oriented with experience growing individual contributors.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Initiative, ownership, and commitment to challenging the status quo.
• Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical and stakeholder management skills.
• Data-driven with the ability to use data for decision-making.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• English fluency required; Asian languages (Japanese, Mandarin) are a plus.
