Adyen is seeking a Sales Manager to join their team in Shanghai. Adyen provides payments, data, and financial products in a single solution for various customers. The ideal candidate will be a storyteller, fostering excitement about Adyen's products and strengthening customer relations.

Role Involves:

  • Owning the full sales cycle with large merchants.
  • Identifying opportunities and promoting Adyen technology.
  • Educating customers and finalizing agreements.
  • Driving innovation for merchants in retail, digital platforms, and financial services.
  • Becoming an expert in Adyen's financial solutions.
  • Partnering with technology leaders and collaborating with Compliance, Implementation, and Account Management teams.
  • Travel and network (~25%).

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in an enterprise sales role (8+ years) selling complex solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of payments ecosystem / PSPs / acquiring or related business.
  • Strong network of international clients within cross-border offline retail space in Greater China Region.
  • Team player who enjoys working in-person with teams across cultures, roles, and offices.
  • Analytical and strategic negotiator with a commercially driven attitude.
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to uncover complex needs.
  • Resourceful self-starter able to manage time-sensitive tasks.
  • Prepared to educate and pitch transparently with a consultative approach.
  • English and Mandarin proficiency required.
