Implementation Engineer

Job Description

Adyen is seeking an Implementation Engineer to guide merchants through the integration of Adyen's payment platform. This role involves providing technical consultation, project management, and development expertise to ensure smooth and successful implementations for clients like Meta, Uber, H&M and Microsoft.

As an Implementation Engineer at Adyen, he or she will be the primary technical contact for merchants, supporting them from design to launch. Responsibilities include developing scalable integration solutions, consulting on payment optimization, and collaborating with internal teams to improve merchant experiences. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex integration issues.

What this role involves:

• Creating scalable solutions for merchant integration using programming expertise.
• Serving as a consultative partner for merchants in various verticals.
• Collaborating with Sales, Account Managers, Product, and Engineering teams on improvements.
• Overseeing project delivery, making sure of technical integrity of integrations.
• Consulting on optimising payment solutions, checkout experiences, authentication.
• Analysing and troubleshooting code.

Requirements:

• 2+ years experience integrating with Web APIs or providing technical consultation.
• C1 Level in English and German.
• Ability to learn new technologies and understand complex systems.
• Excellent communication skills for leading meeting with high level decision makers.
• Ability to identify solutions to complex integration problems.
• Experience in the payments landscape is a plus.
