Internal Control Officer, Technology Risk

Job Description

Adyen, a financial technology platform, is seeking an Internal Control Officer specializing in Technology Risk to join their Amsterdam office. The role involves strengthening the global internal control framework and assisting management with risk management. The ideal candidate will assess and improve Adyen’s technology and controls and perform independent reviews of risk and control systems. They will collaborate with the Internal Control team on various projects and manage requests from regulators and auditors.

• Strengthens the global internal control framework and supports management with risk management.
• Evaluates changes in the internal and external environment and assesses the impact on technology risks and controls.
• Evaluate Adyen’s technology and controls to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Perform independent review and testing of controls and reports on the effectiveness of Adyen’s risk and control systems.
• Manages requests from regulators and auditors to ensure successful audit cycles (e.g. SOC1/SOC2 audits).
• Create a network and be a trusted advisor for the business and management.

• 6+ years of relevant experience within IT audit, IT risk management, or internal control.
• Experience with IT risk management and controls.
• Knowledge of IT processes, IT risks, and building internal control frameworks.
• Great communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to operate independently within a global environment.
• Proactive and hands-on.
