Job Description

Adyen is seeking a Senior Regulatory Counsel to join their EMEA Regulatory team. The company provides payments, data, and financial products in a single solution for customers like Meta, Uber, H&M, and Microsoft. The role involves providing strategic regulatory advice to internal and external stakeholders, leading regulatory engagements, and identifying key regulatory obligations and risks. The Senior Regulatory Counsel will translate identified obligations into relevant policies and procedures and represent regulatory on various workstreams to establish regulatory strategies.

Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic regulatory advice to internal and external stakeholders.
• Lead regulatory engagements, managing relationships with regulators and auditors.
• Anticipate and identify key regulatory obligations and integrity risks.
• Translate identified obligations into relevant policies and procedures.
• Represent regulatory on workstreams and products to establish regulatory strategies.

Requirements:

• 7+ years’ experience in a regulatory and/or legal function in payments, financial services, or fintech.
• Knowledgeable in the European payments, financial services and/or fintech industry.
• Strong sense of initiative and independence.
• Analytical and critical thinker with creative problem-solving skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Fluent in English; proficiency in French and/or German is a plus.
