Data Engineering Manager - Reporting & Reconciliation

Job Description

Adyen is seeking a Data Engineering Manager to lead its Reporting & Reconciliation group in Amsterdam. This role is pivotal in ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and scalability of Adyen's reporting analytics products. The Engineering Manager will collaborate with various stakeholders and product development teams to drive the adoption of high standards for reporting and reconciliation across the company. Adyen is a financial technology platform providing payments, data, and financial products in single solution for their customers.She/he will be responsible for:

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams including product, data engineers, and analysts.
• Maintaining a deep understanding of customer needs and product benefits.
• Crafting a long-term product vision in alignment with company goals.
• Establishing clear team objectives aligned with Adyen's strategic ambitions.
• Motivating and coaching the team, fostering growth and development.
• Cultivating an open, collaborative, and accountable team environment.
• Identifying and nurturing talent within the team.
• Designing and implementing new features collaboratively.

Requirements are:

• Proven leadership experience in hiring and developing engineering teams.
• Experience in execution methodologies for efficient value delivery.
• 5+ years in a hands-on data engineering role, with 2+ years in leadership.
• Expertise in distributed data systems and tools (Python, PySpark, SQL, etc.).
• Strategic thinking and communication skills.
• Quality mindset and familiarity with observability tools.
• 2+ years of experience in managing engineering teams within a data engineering environment.
• Full professional proficiency in English
