Senior Machine Learning Scientist

Job Description

Adyen is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Scientist to join their team in Amsterdam. The ideal candidate will be at the intersection of algorithms, mathematics, and engineering, solving problems by designing and implementing production-ready machine learning solutions. He will be responsible for building, developing, and deploying algorithms that power data products at Adyen.

Role involves:

• Researching, designing, implementing, training, deploying, and monitoring machine learning algorithms for batch prediction or real-time applications.
• Developing orchestrated pipelines for analytical purposes and machine learning training.
• Contributing to ongoing automation efforts for experiments, training, validation, and monitoring.
• Collaborating with MLOps to improve machine learning tooling.
• Creating and iterating on state-of-the-art machine learning algorithms for merchant and product audiences.
• Staying up-to-date with the latest research and developments in the machine learning field.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience as a machine learning or data scientist.
• Experience with the full machine learning model lifecycle in production flows.
• Experience building and deploying Deep Learning models.
• Experience leveraging a big data framework to create data pipelines.
• Good understanding of software engineering practices, data engineering, and MLOps principles.
• Strong knowledge of data science, statistics, and machine learning techniques.
• Familiarity with standard data science toolkit (e.g., (py)spark, (Trino) SQL, Tensorflow, PyTorch).
• Experimental mindset with a launch fast and iterate mentality.
• Proactive leadership in projects from ideation to deployment.
• Experience working with a wide range of stakeholders.
