Senior Backend Engineer

Job Description

Insurify, a fast-growing MIT FinTech startup recognized by Forbes and Inc., is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join their team in Sofia. The company is the largest online insurance distribution and comparison platform in the USA, aiming to revolutionize how people buy and manage insurance.

The Senior Backend Engineer will collaborate with the product team to develop new features, optimize existing ones, and write comprehensive test suites.

Responsibilities include:

• Architecting and developing new features in collaboration with the product team.
• Optimizing existing features to enhance speed and reliability.
• Writing comprehensive test suites to fortify the codebase.
• Deploying to production frequently.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience building back-end applications using a modern web framework (Python + Django, Node.js).
• Experience analyzing code performance to identify optimization opportunities.
• Experience writing unit and integration tests.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL DBs (MySQL, Redis, DynamoDB, Redshift).
• Fluent spoken and written English.
