Job Description
InterWorks is seeking a passionate and eager Data Engineer to join their team in Perth, Australia. This role involves tackling diverse data projects for various clients, from local businesses to Fortune 500 companies. The Data Engineer will collaborate with users to understand their needs, solve data-related problems, and create ETL processes.
Role involves:
- Working with disparate data sources (relational databases, flat files, Excel, HDFS/Big Data systems, high-performance analytical databases, etc.)
- Collaborating with users to understand their unique needs
- Solving data-acquisition, integration, and management problems
- Creating ETL processes based on client needs
Requirements:
- Excellent SQL fluency
- Strong ETL proficiency using GUI-based tools or code-based patterns
- Understanding of data-modeling principles
- Passion for delivering compelling solutions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Business acumen
