Job Description
Sumo Logic is seeking a Staff QE Software Engineer to ensure the quality of its cloud-native SaaS data analytics platform. This role involves creating and executing test plans, developing test strategies, and analyzing test coverage for critical system components. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams, address complex problems with innovative solutions, and mentor team members.
Role involves:
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Developing and executing test cases and scripts.
- Reporting project status and defects.
- Participating in design and specification reviews.
- Improving design specifications and writing code.
- Guiding and mentoring junior team members.
- Estimating and performing risk analysis.
- Continuously improving testing processes.
- Communicating effectively with development and product teams.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 10+ years of testing experience.
- Strong understanding of the software development life cycle and testing methodologies.
- Experience with Enterprise-grade SaaS products.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with Continuous Integration or Continuous Deployment.
- Proficiency in object-oriented languages (Java, Python, Scala, GO).
- Experience with Unix and Windows operating systems.
- Familiarity with testing tools like TestRail, Jira, Postman, JMeter, Selenium.
