Backend Engineer at Typeform

Typeform is seeking a Backend Engineer to contribute to the development and maintenance of its platform. The Backend Engineer will collaborate with the Product Team to design, develop, and implement features and functionalities using GoLang, HTTP calls for IPC, and Kafka or SNS/SQS as middleware. The ideal candidate will champion engineering excellence and contribute to creating secure and scalable solutions for Typeform's customers.

Role Involves:

• Contributing code to projects requiring backend work in GoLang.
• Improving existing code bases for scalability and reliability.
• Reacting to monitoring alerts and triaging issues.
• Proposing solutions to code or architectural problems.
• Conducting Root-Cause-Analysis (RCA) exercises and contributing to postmortems.
• Helping and training peers.
• Participating in an on-call rota.

Requirements:

• University degree in a related field.
• Experience in a high-traffic distributed architecture.
• Experience writing architectural documentation.
• Experience with GoLang, Cloud providers, and Messaging systems.
• Excellent written and spoken English skills.
