Clickatell is seeking a Sales Development Representative in Cape Town to nurture relationships with potential clients. The Sales Development Representative acts as the crucial initial contact, qualifying leads by researching clients and educating prospects about Chat Commerce. They will then pass qualified leads to sales teams. The role requires a proactive individual championing prospecting efforts using a data-driven approach.
  • Engaging and educating customers in the sales lead funnel.
  • Researching leads and creating prospect analyses.
  • Scheduling appointments and demos with the Managed Account team.
  • Conducting outbound calls to schedule meetings.
  • Identifying and escalating high-potential customers.
  • Developing and leading outbound campaigns.
  • Designing and managing outreach sequences.
  • Analyzing and reporting CRM lead activity.
  • Communicating customer feedback.
  • Staying updated on new products and features.
  • 5–10 years’ experience in lead management or digital sales.
  • Experience with Salesforce (or similar CRM software), Outreach (or similar sales execution platforms), and MS Office.
  • Knowledge of SaaS, Messaging Solutions, and CPaaS.
  • Understanding of Chat Commerce.
  • Understanding of sales performance metrics and report preparation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organization and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to manage time and work under pressure.
