Clickatell is seeking a Commercial Manager to expand its chat commerce solution footprint in South Africa. This role involves engaging with current and future clients to introduce the company's solutions portfolio, transforming customer engagement, and achieving cost and operational efficiencies through innovative digital channels.
Responsibilities:
- Managing existing clients and revenue.
- Driving value by identifying problems, offering creative solutions, and leveraging partnerships.
- Managing the entire sales cycle.
- Providing technical support to customers.
- Cross-selling to existing clients.
- Developing in-depth customer portfolios and creating comprehensive client business plans.
- Providing professional after-sales support.
- Hunting for new clients and building long-term partnerships.
- Unearthing new sales opportunities through networking.
- Engaging in complex deal structuring and negotiation.
- Presenting products to prospective clients.
- Setting sales and revenue targets.
- Working integrally with internal team members.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in creating client business plans and managing account sales.
- Experience working cross-functionally as part of a solution team.
- Relevant Degree or 8 years of relevant job experience.
- Experience in Senior Manager stakeholder engagement.
- A track record for exceeding revenue goals.
- Industry knowledge and understanding of analytic solutions.
- Experience with messaging and/or payment products.
- Extensive network of decision-makers in industry.
- Excellent communication, process, and organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal, business, and problem-solving skills.
