Job Description
enmacc is seeking a Tech Lead/Staff Backend Engineer to join their team in Munich, Germany. enmacc is Europe’s largest over-the-counter trading market venue for energy and environmental commodities. The ideal candidate will guide the backend community, ensure appropriate engineering practices, and drive technical innovation.
The role involves:
- Taking ownership of the backend technology stack.
- Driving technical innovation for scalability, security, and performance.
- Leading technical projects involving frontend, cloud, or QA teams.
- Cultivating technical excellence by promoting best practices and mentoring.
- Solving complex technical challenges and building robust solutions.
- Guiding the Backend Community to foster communication and collaboration.
- Contributing to the product roadmap with architectural insights.
Requirements include:
- A degree in computer science or comparable experience.
- At least 8 years of backend software development experience.
- Excellent knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, REST, Hibernate, AWS, SQL, and Docker.
- Advanced knowledge of event-driven systems, observability, and concurrency control.
- Understanding of backend technologies and a passion for learning.
- Experience in architectural discussions.
- A "you build it, you run it" mentality.
- Proficiency in English.
