Senior Data Scientist I

Carta is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join their team in Rio de Janeiro. The Senior Data Scientist will work to standardize, document, and generate core metrics for business and product across multiple teams. They instrument new initiatives and come up with metrics to measure them alongside business partners and/or product managers. The successful candidate will generate insights into how new features can impact a product release and use different analytical and statistical approaches to identify trends in historical data that help Carta better understand customer / user behavior.

The Senior Data Scientist will collaborate with the rest of the data team to come up with new products based on data. By partnering with teams within Carta and providing data solutions, they will elevate decision making and improve products, operations, and business direction. As the Senior Data Scientist continues to build out the analytics toolkit, they will empower others in the organization to make data-driven decisions.

Role Involves:

• Standardizing, documenting and generating core metrics.
• Instrumenting new initiatives and measuring them.
• Generating insights into the impact of new features.
• Identifying trends in historical data.
• Presenting findings to diverse audiences.
• Re-evaluating existing data infrastructure and dashboards.
• Providing training sessions on BI tools.
• Collaborating on new data products.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of analytics experience in product analytics or data science.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to build relationships across the company.
• Prioritization skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
