Carta is seeking a Front-End Software Engineer II to join their Marketing Web organization. The engineer will help Carta migrate its existing site from Wordpress to a flexible Contentful + SvelteKit stack. The engineer will support the marketing team’s ability to create self-serve campaigns and publish new content as well as ensure the sales prospect data capture keeps flowing as business needs evolve.
The Front-End Software Engineer II will ensure Carta's public site is fast, accessible, localizable, and standards-based in order to boost SEO. They will build new site functionality leveraging the core web platform, manage content models in Contentful, investigate errors in Sentry, and write tests to improve code quality.
Role Involves:
- Migrating site from Wordpress to Contentful + SvelteKit.
- Supporting marketing team campaigns and content publishing.
- Ensuring sales prospect data capture.
- Optimizing site for speed, accessibility, and SEO.
- Building new site functionality.
- Managing content models in Contentful.
- Investigating errors and improving code quality.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience as a professional software engineer recommended.
- Production experience with Typescript.
- Knowledge about web platform fundamentals.
- Curiosity and impact-orientation.
- Familiarity with SvelteKit, Cypress, Contentful, Netlify.
- Opinions on server-side vs. client-side rendering.
