Senior Software Engineer I, Identity and Access Management

Carta is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join its Identity and Access Management (IAM) team in Rio de Janeiro. The IAM team is responsible for building and maintaining services that authenticate and authorize millions of users across Carta's product suite.

As a Senior Software Engineer, the individual will work on building, maintaining, and supporting IAM services for all Carta products, including login, registration, session management, auditing, MFA, OAuth, Permissions, and SSO.

The role involves reinforcing service resiliency, availability, performance, and fault tolerance, maintaining standalone services, enabling more effective troubleshooting and monitoring in authentication and authorization services, and collaborating with teams across the company to solve complex permission problems and address security concerns.

Responsibilities include:

• Building, maintaining and supporting IAM services for all Carta products
• Reinforcing service resiliency, availability, performance and fault tolerance
• Maintaining standalone services
• Enabling more effective troubleshooting and monitoring in authentication and authorization services
• Collaborating with teams across the company to solve complex permission problems and address security concerns

Requirements:

• 5+ years of backend, or full-stack software development experience
• Experience designing, developing, and deploying scalable, secure, production-quality products with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and microservices
• Expertise in web security, security standards, and data governance
• Familiarity or willingness to learn Python, ReactJS, AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, CircleCI, Datadog, gRPC
