Corporate Counsel

Job Description

Carta is seeking a Corporate Counsel to join their Legal team in Singapore. This role will focus on providing legal advice to cross-functional teams on corporate cap table management and fund administration businesses within the APAC region. The Corporate Counsel will partner with business teams on localized product and service offerings, special projects, and strategic initiatives. They will support go-to-market activities, review and negotiate sales contracts, and advise on product and customer experience. Responsibilities include:

• Partnering with APAC business teams on localized product and service offerings.
• Supporting go-to-market activities for APAC teams.
• Reviewing, negotiating, and drafting commercial agreements.
• Collaborating with cross-functional legal experts and internal stakeholders.

Requirements:

• A local LL.B. degree (or a GDSL if you have a foreign degree), and membership in the Singapore Bar.
• 4+ years of experience as a practicing attorney at a leading law firm and as in-house counsel recommended.
• Strong understanding of software technology and cloud services.
• Knowledge of venture capital law, securities regulation, and/or fund formation.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
