Harbinger Motors Inc., an electric vehicle manufacturer, is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join their Customer Deployments team. The Field Service Engineer will be a subject matter expert supporting Harbinger's deployed fleet, partnering with Engineering and external service partners to ensure maximum uptime. The role involves solving vehicle issues at customer and dealer locations, as well as supporting prototypes at headquarters.
  • Providing customer fleet technical support remotely.
  • Field support for customer fleets, special events, and testing.
  • Consulting customers on charge infrastructure installations.
  • Supporting engineering prototype builds.
  • Influencing design for service.
  • Managing tools, shop organization, and supplies inventory.
  • Collecting data and performing root cause analysis.
  • Conducting equipment calibrations and maintaining records.
  • Performing hands-on testing.
  • Developing and trialing service procedures.
  • Training service network and internal technicians.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years’ work experience in a vehicle workshop and/or dealer shop.
  • Experience with building electrical systems is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of building electrical systems and codes.
  • EV and HV experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to interface with various technical disciplines.
  • Self-starting and task management skills.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Familiarity with vehicle Controller Area Network (CAN) communication.
  • Expertise with Vector CANoe/ CANalyzer is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Strong understanding of vehicle systems and their interactions.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
