Harbinger Motors is seeking a Technician for Customer Deployments to be an essential member of their team. This role involves becoming a subject matter expert in supporting Harbinger's deployed fleet, partnering with Engineering and external service partners to ensure maximum uptime. The Technician will work at headquarters on prototype and manufacturing support, onsite at customer facilities for fleet field support, and in the field supporting engineering test activities.Responsibilities:
- Customer fleet technical support remote
- Field support - customer fleets, special events, test support
- Manufacturing build support
- Engineering prototype build support
- Tools and shop management and organization, supplies inventory management
- Data collection
- Fixture projects
- Equipment calibrations and records keeping
- Hands on testing
- Service procedure development and trials
- Training the trainers for service network and other internal technicians
- 5+ years’ work experience in a vehicle workshop and/or dealer shop
- EV and HV experience is a plus
- Graduation from high school or equivalent and an Automotive Technology degree from an institution, or the equivalent in experience and evidence of exceptional ability.
- Natural ability to interface with many different people from many different technical disciplines and operate with them seamlessly.
- Ability to self-start, manage, and execute to completion given tasks with varying levels of advance information given in various written and verbal formats.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Factory training programs through OEMs are a plus.
- Familiarity with vehicle Controller Area Network (CAN) communication
- Expertise with Vector CANoe/ CANalyzer a plus
- Strong ability to think outside the box and find creative solutions to complex problems
- Strong understanding of vehicle systems and their interactions
- Ability to travel as required
