Tubi, a global entertainment company, is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join its Ads Engineering team in Beijing. In this role, the engineer will collaborate with Machine Learning and Data Science teams to build distributed systems for optimizing ad placement on Tubi apps. They will also contribute to improving service deployment and operation, and potentially contribute to open-source projects.Role involves:
- Designing and building scalable, high-throughput, and low-latency distributed systems using Scala.
- Driving innovation by proposing and prototyping new features and technologies.
- Conducting code reviews and providing critical feedback.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Math, or similar field.
- Ability to adapt to remote collaboration with US colleagues.
- Proficient English communication skills.
- 8+ years of experience designing and developing scalable distributed systems with JVM languages (Scala preferred).
- 8+ years of experience with relational databases, caching technologies, and message brokers.
- Experience building high-performing, scalable, and fault-tolerant near real-time services.
