Data Engineer

Job Description

DATAPAO is seeking a skilled (Senior) Data Engineer to collaborate with EMEA and US clients, tackling challenges in data engineering, ML/MLOps, and cloud migration. The role involves leading complex projects, managing customer relationships, and mentoring junior engineers. The projects at DATAPAO typically last 2-4 months.

Responsibilities Include:

• Delivering data engineering projects, individually or leading small teams.
• Managing customer relationships.
• Mentoring junior data engineers and evaluating their work.
• Contributing to the hiring of data engineers.

Requirements:

• Consultant mindset & passion for customer experience
• Excellent communication & presentation skills
• Solid software engineering foundations and understanding of Distributed Systems
• Strong SQL & NoSQL hands-on experience
• Experience with Real-Time Data Processing Systems, Apache Spark, and/or the Big Data ecosystem
• Mentoring skills & strong predisposition to knowledge-sharing
• Problem-solving skills & ownership
• Fluency in English and willingness to travel up to 15% (mainly in the EU)
