Senior Backend Engineer at Aspire

Aspire is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join their team. Aspire is a leading FinTech company focused on empowering innovators and entrepreneurs through its financial operating system. The Senior Backend Engineer will be instrumental in building and maintaining cutting-edge web-based fintech products.

The role involves designing and developing software architecture, building scalable and fault-tolerant systems, and staying updated with new development trends. The candidate will work closely with Engineering, Product, and UX teams, communicating effectively in English. They will contribute to building a leading fintech product across South-East Asia, working within an international and diverse team.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain cutting edge web-based fintech products
• Defining the software architecture and building the scalable & fault tolerance system
• Keep abreast of new trends and best practices in development
• Communicate effectively in English across Engineering, Product, UX teams on daily basis

Requirements:

• Graduated with a Computer Science degree with 4 to 8 years of working experience in software engineering role
• Working experience of start-ups or good tech companies with education from top universities.
• Strong hands-on and proficient in at least one backend programming language such as PHP, Go, Python, Node.js, Java, etc.
• Strong Understanding of RESTful API design and implementation
• Solid understanding of software architecture principles and design patterns
• Focus on code quality and best practices, and ability to ensure code quality in the work.
• Ability to review code, identify bugs, and provide feedback to ensure code quality standards are met.
• Experience in writing and executing unit tests and integration tests as well as debugging skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and experience working in an agile environment.
• Strong communication skills and collaboration skills
