APAC Regional Executive Director, OceanX Education at OceanX

OceanX Education is seeking an exceptional leader to become its APAC Regional Executive Director, based in Singapore. This role, reporting to the OceanX Education founder and CEO, and the Board of Directors, involves shaping the organization's strategy, overseeing programs incorporating science, media, and technology. The Executive Director will drive financial sustainability through partnerships, develop communication strategies, expand the board, manage a growing staff, forge relationships with OceanX and the Dalio Family Office, and ensure strong operational and financial processes.

The role requires significant travel, including to New York, and flexible hours to accommodate global stakeholders. It is an opportunity to create the next generation of ocean leaders who will understand our world’s largest and most unknown resource and solve some of the most pressing climate issues of our time.

Responsibilities include:

• Designing and implementing the OceanX Education strategy and impact KPIs.
• Overseeing programs incorporating science, engineering, media, art, and cutting-edge technology.
• Driving financial sustainability and scalability through global partnerships.
• Developing and implementing a communication and media strategy.
• Expanding the board of directors.
• Managing a rapidly growing staff in multiple global locations.
• Forging key relationships with OceanX and the Dalio Family Office.
• Ensuring strong operational and financial processes are in place.

Requirements include:

• At least 15+ years of experience in ocean, climate, and/or environmental science, preferably with some experience in the education field.
• A passionate leader with a strategic vision for opportunities in ocean education.
• A strong track record of building and running organizations, with excellent leadership and management skills.
• Demonstrated success in building partnerships and fundraising, preferably in the United States and Asia.
