Yext, in collaboration with Hearsay Systems, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Budapest Engineering Team. This role involves building scalable, high-performance systems for digital engagement. The Senior Software Engineer will use technologies like Python, Kotlin, and React to design, build, and maintain secure, reliable services. They will take ownership of complex projects from design to deployment, collaborating with experienced engineers to shape architecture, boost performance, and streamline development workflows.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement scalable, high-performing solutions.
  • Own end-to-end technical projects.
  • Debug, review, and refine code.
  • Mentor junior engineers.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering leads.
  • Continuously improve team processes and development practices.

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of full-stack software development experience.
  • Strong grasp of object-oriented principles (OOP) and design patterns.
  • 5+ years of experience using Python, Java, C++, or C#.
  • Proficient in modern front-end frameworks such as React, Backbone, or Underscore.
  • Extensive experience in relational database management.
  • Skilled in cloud infrastructure (IaaS and PaaS).
  • Commitment to clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
  • Curious and quick to learn.
  • Strong analytical skills and a problem-solving mindset.
  • Fluent in English and Hungarian.
