Software Engineer

Yext, a leading digital presence platform, is seeking a Software Engineer to join their Budapest Engineering Team. Following the recent acquisition of Hearsay Systems, this role is integral to building scalable, high-performance systems for digital engagement. The Software Engineer will use technologies like Python, Kotlin, and React to design, build, and maintain secure, reliable services. The position involves collaborating with experienced engineers to enhance performance and streamline development workflows.

This is a hybrid position, offering flexibility with remote work and requiring on-site presence at least one day per week.

What this role involves:

• Designing and implementing scalable, high-performing solutions.
• Debugging, reviewing, and refining code.
• Collaborating with product and engineering leads.
• Improving team processes and development practices.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of full-stack software development experience.
• Strong grasp of object-oriented principles (OOP) and design patterns.
• 3+ years of experience using Python, Java, C++, or C#.
• Experience in modern front-end frameworks such as React.
• Solid foundation in HTML, CSS, and core web technologies.
• Hands-on knowledge of relational database management.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (IaaS and PaaS).
• Commitment to clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
• Fluent in English and Hungarian.
