Inventory Accountant at Harbinger Motors Inc.

Harbinger Motors is seeking an experienced Inventory Accountant to join their team. This role is responsible for accurate cost of goods sold (COGS) and inventory valuation. The Inventory Accountant will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of financial data related to inventory and cost accounting.

What This Role Involves:

• Executing monthly closing tasks, including preparing journal entries and performing reconciliations.
• Managing end-to-end inventory processes, costing, and valuations.
• Collaborating with various departments to ensure accurate recording of inventory data.
• Managing the inventory cycle count program.
• Preparing and maintaining monthly inventory roll-forwards and reserves.
• Analyzing freight-in transactions and performing journal entries.
• Assisting with financial audits and providing recommendations for procedural improvements.
• Conducting root cause analysis of cycle count variances and creating corrective action plans.
• Maintaining correspondence with warehouse and production teams.

Who You Are:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business with an emphasis in Accounting.
• 3+ years of relevant accounting experience.
• Experience in inventory reconciliation processes.
• NetSuite experience preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP/MRP systems.
