Tech Holding is seeking an AWS DevOps Engineer to join their team on a part-time, remote basis. The engineer will be responsible for enhancing the company's infrastructure, with a focus on scaling, security, and cost optimization. The ideal candidate will work closely with the engineering team to implement DevOps best practices, streamline development processes, and support long-term growth through robust infrastructure management.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver clean, maintainable, and performant infrastructure solutions
- Define and implement architectural strategies for scalable, secure, and cost-effective systems
- Review infrastructure code and provide feedback to enhance performance and security
- Build services and tooling to streamline the development and deployment processes
- Mentor and coach engineering team members on DevOps best practices
- Establish standards and best practices for infrastructure management, including testing, observability, and security protocols
- Participate in sprint-related meetings
- Encourage a culture of automation and innovation
- Provide consultation for non-technical stakeholders
- Advocate for new tools and technologies
Qualifications:
- 6+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer with AWS experience
- Expertise in scaling, securing, and optimizing cloud infrastructure
- Proficiency with Terraform
- Experience with database technologies such as Postgres and Aurora
- Strong knowledge of Node.js, TypeScript, GraphQL, Redis, Elasticsearch, and React environments
- Understanding of cost optimization strategies
- Experience mentoring engineering teams
