ALU (African Leadership University) is seeking a Senior Associate for the Health Entrepreneurship (HENT) Pillar. The role focuses on supporting entrepreneurial ventures in healthcare through program coordination, venture development, and strategic partnership facilitation.

The Senior Associate will work within the Healthcare team at ALU, a group dedicated to improving healthcare outcomes in Africa. They will support ALU's mission to provide higher education for a higher purpose, fostering an environment where students develop real-world skills to tackle global challenges.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Support the planning and execution of entrepreneurship training and venture development programs.
  • Coordinate entrepreneurship coaching sessions, funding access, and networking opportunities.
  • Facilitate a one-year post-graduation fellowship for students with viable ventures.
  • Liaise with policymakers and regulators.
  • Build partnerships with incubators, accelerators, and funding organizations.
  • Develop and maintain a platform for students and alumni to showcase their ventures.
  • Monitor program progress, collect success stories, and analyze the impact of programs.
  • Prepare detailed reports on venture development outcomes.
  • Adhere to ALU’s comprehensive safeguarding policy.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Public Health, or a related field with a focus on entrepreneurship.
  • 3+ years of experience in program coordination, preferably in entrepreneurship or healthcare innovation.
  • Experience with health venture incubation and business development support.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of funding mechanisms and health business models.
