Job Description

Archer, an aerospace company in San Jose, California, is seeking an Engineer for R&D Aircraft Mass Properties. The successful candidate will assist in developing a mass properties tool, track mass properties and risks, and become familiar with aircraft hardware. They will report to the engineering team.

Responsibilities:

  • Help develop the mass properties tool from the ground up
  • Track the mass properties and have reports to the engineering team
  • Track mass properties risk and opportunities
  • Familiarize themselves with every piece of hardware on the aircraft

Requirements:

  • 5-15 years of engineering experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Proficient in CAD (Solidworks, NX, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Mil-Spec fasteners
  • Hands-on experience in multiple technical fields especially those related to carbon composite and metallic structures
  • Ability to communicate effectively and clearly
  • Positive can-do attitude

Archer offers:

  • A base pay between $140,000 - $200,000, based on experience.
