Head of Safety & Environment

Job Description

Archer, an aerospace company, is seeking a Head of Safety & Environment to ensure corporate safety program compliance and cultivate a zero-injury workplace in San Jose, California. The role involves coordinating safety programs, managing waste streams, and serving as a subject matter expert for safety protocols.

• Ensuring corporate Safety Programs comply with evolving OSHA requirements
• Serving as Occupational Safety Liaison to Safety Council
• Consolidating behavior-based safety programs
• Coordinating Safety programs within Archer
• Ensuring compliant handling and management of waste streams
• Serving as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for safety programs
• Monitoring regulatory developments applicable to HSE programs
• Coordinating Facility Permitting

The ideal candidate should possess:

• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
• 6+ years’ experience in environmental engineering or health and safety or 10+ years of experience in environmental engineering or health and safety.
• Previous experience leading safety within a manufacturing organization
• Experience creating corporate safety culture programs
• Experience creating safety training modules
