Job Description
Archer, an aerospace company in San Jose, California, is seeking a Senior Integrated Aircraft Test Engineer. The role involves applying knowledge of electrical components, systems integration, or structural assembly to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in the development of a new eVTOL aircraft. The engineer will support on and off aircraft builds, troubleshoot issues, and implement process control plans. They will also develop manufacturing build plans and drive design for manufacturability efforts.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborating with Product Design Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing and Facilities teams.
- Assisting on and off aircraft builds for various components.
- Supporting the Test Aircraft shop floor through Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA).
- Conducting process failure mode and analysis (PFMEA).
- Developing manufacturing Build Plans.
- Reviewing engineering design releases for manufacturability.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of related experience in Aerospace.
- Preferred bachelor’s degree in related field in Aerospace, Electrical, Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering.
- Understanding of AS9100 requirements and working under an FAA Production Certificate.
- Experience using shop tools and calibrated aerospace tooling.
- Working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
- Strong computer skills with an emphasis on Google suite.
Archer offers:
- A base pay between $122,040.00 - $135,600.00.
