Job Description
Archer, an aerospace company, is seeking a Senior Aircraft Tooling and Equipment Engineer to contribute to the design, manufacturing, and operation of all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft. This role is based in San Jose, California.
Responsibilities: - Designs and analyzes hardware for product assemblies.
- Designs manufacturing equipment and fixtures in-house.
- Creates RFQ packages and manages supplier equipment deliverables.
- Procures components for designed equipment.
- Coordinates with manufacturing and design teams.
- Oversees technician/operator training.
- Processes data, writes reports, and diagnoses equipment malfunctions.
- Implements process control parameters.
- Contributes to reliability analysis.
- Defines and executes product verification/validation testing.
- Supports prototype product builds and production system testing.
Requirements: - 5+ years of work experience and a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field.
- Experience commissioning and improving equipment.
- Understanding of Lean Manufacturing.
- Proficiency in 2D & 3D CAD software.
- Experience in statistical process control and GD&T.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to maintain organization in a dynamic environment.
- Willingness to travel up to 10%.
