Job Description
Archer, an aerospace company, is seeking a Senior Aircraft Tooling and Equipment Engineer to contribute to the design, manufacturing, and operation of all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft. This role is based in San Jose, California.

Responsibilities:
  • Designs and analyzes hardware for product assemblies.
  • Designs manufacturing equipment and fixtures in-house.
  • Creates RFQ packages and manages supplier equipment deliverables.
  • Procures components for designed equipment.
  • Coordinates with manufacturing and design teams.
  • Oversees technician/operator training.
  • Processes data, writes reports, and diagnoses equipment malfunctions.
  • Implements process control parameters.
  • Contributes to reliability analysis.
  • Defines and executes product verification/validation testing.
  • Supports prototype product builds and production system testing.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of work experience and a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field.
  • Experience commissioning and improving equipment.
  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in 2D & 3D CAD software.
  • Experience in statistical process control and GD&T.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain organization in a dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10%.
