Job Description
Archer, an aerospace company, is seeking a Senior Aircraft Tooling and Equipment Engineer in San Jose, California. This role involves designing and analyzing hardware, managing supplier deliverables, and implementing process control parameters. The engineer will also support prototype builds and production system testing.
- Designs and analyzes hardware for product assemblies.
- Designs manufacturing equipment and fixtures.
- Creates RFQ packages and manages supplier equipment deliverables.
- Procures components for designed equipment.
- Coordinates with manufacturing and design teams.
- Oversees technician/operator training.
- Processes data and writes engineering reports.
- Implements process control parameters.
- Contributes to reliability analysis.
- Defines and executes product verification/validation testing.
- Supports prototype product builds and production system testing.
Requirements: - 5+ years of work experience and a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field.
- Experience commissioning and improving equipment.
- Understanding of Lean Manufacturing.
- Proficiency in 2D & 3D CAD.
- Experience in statistical process control and GD&T.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to maintain organization in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to travel 10% of the time domestically and internationally.
