Job Description
Planet is seeking an Industry Account Executive to manage relationships with the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency (NGA) and National Reconnaissance Office (NRO). The role involves managing existing contracts, driving sales growth, and identifying new business opportunities.
Responsibilities: - Manage customer relationships with NGA and NRO.
- Identify, qualify, and close opportunities.
- Target expansion opportunities with the U.S. Government (DoD) accounts and partner companies.
- Develop a sales pipeline and provide product demonstrations.
- Collaborate with Sales Engineers.
- Maintain pipeline reporting and forecast business.
Requirements: - 6–8 years of experience in the US Department of Defense or Intelligence Community
- Bachelor’s degree with a relevant major
- Live in the Washington, D.C. metro area
- U.S. citizenship is required
- Have or have previously held a TS/SCI security clearance
- 2+ years of related experience in Software and/or Data as a Service sales
- Experience prospecting, finding and winning business with new customers
- Experience selling to Federal customers, with an understanding of the nuances of sales cycles and ability to navigate multiple agencies/divisions
