Manager, Battery Manufacturing Engineering

Job Description

Archer, an aerospace company dedicated to sustainable air mobility, is seeking a Manager for Battery Manufacturing Engineering. This role will lead the Battery Module/Pack manufacturing engineering team from prototype through series production. The Manager will collaborate with various teams including Product Design Engineering, Test, Quality, Manufacturing, and Facilities.Responsibilities:

• Managing the Battery Module/Pack manufacturing engineering team.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Leading the development of a high-volume battery module/pack production system.
• Driving continuous improvement and cost reduction programs.
• Supporting process control and failure mode analysis.
• Supporting supply chain development and procurement.
• Supporting operations on the shop floor and establishing KPIs.
• Developing, coaching, and mentoring Manufacturing Engineers.

Requirements:

• BS or MS Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial).
• 7+ years of experience in manufacturing and/or automation.
• 2+ years of direct experience in EV battery module/pack manufacturing.
• 2+ years of team management experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with prototype and high-volume manufacturing.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Demonstrated experience in statistical process control, GD&T, and lean manufacturing concepts.

Archer offers:

• A base pay between $163,200 - $204,000.
