Manager, eCAD

Job Description

Archer Aviation is seeking a Manager, eCAD to lead a team of PCB layout engineers and manage eCAD tools for eVTOL applications. This role is based in San Jose, California. The Manager will be responsible for creating and managing the Altium eCAD library and developing efficient processes for design information exchange.Responsibilities include:

• Leading and managing a team of PCB layout engineers
• Managing eCAD tools and designing PCBAs
• Creating and managing the Altium eCAD library
• Component placement, trace routing, analysis, and verification of PCB designs
• Generating fabrication drawings, parts lists, and bills of materials
• Developing efficient design information exchange processes
• Providing technical guidance and mentoring team members

Requirements include:

• BS Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• 8+ years of PCBA design experience with 5+ years of leadership / management experience
• Experience designing rigid, flex, and rigid-flex PCBs
• Knowledge of high voltage creepage and clearance design considerations
• Experience with length matching and differential pairs
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to PCB layout and manufacturing processes
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
