Staff Electric Engine System Engineer, Electrical

Job Description

Archer Aviation is seeking a Staff Electric Engine System Engineer to lead the cross-functional effort to define, validate, implement, and verify requirements for their inverter power electronics. The engineer will collaborate with system engineers, technical leads, and safety leads to ensure the inverter/electric engine and vehicle meet requirements. This role involves architecture definition, trade studies, integration efforts, and issue resolution.

• Leading cross-functional efforts for requirement validation.
• Coordinating integrations.
• Developing low-level requirement sets.
• Contributing to architecture definition.

Requirements:

• Electrical Engineering Degree or equivalent.
• 8+ years of experience in power converters and/or inverters.
• Understanding of power converter architecture.
• Experience with electronic control units.
• Experience with requirement management tools.
• Experience in functional safety design.
• Excellent communication skills.
