Planet is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Identity and Access Management (IAM) team. This role focuses on building and evolving the infrastructure for Planet and Sentinel Hub platforms.

The Senior Software Engineer will collaborate with multiple teams to design and unify the IAM system. They will also develop tools, libraries, and documentation to help other engineering teams integrate with IAM. Additionally, the role involves maintaining web applications and troubleshooting technical issues related to IAM solutions.

Role involves:
  • Designing the unified IAM.
  • Evolving existing services and developing new services
  • Building new services and features of the unified IAM
  • Developing tools and libraries and writing technical documentation
  • Maintaining web applications
  • Troubleshooting technical issues
Requirements:
  • Experience with Java or other similar object oriented language
  • Experience with REST APIs, HTTP(S)
  • Excellent grasp of relational databases
  • Excellent communication skills in English, written and oral
  • 6+ years of experience in software development
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams
  • Ability to be adaptable and open to changes and challenges
