Harbinger Motors Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced BOM Specialist for their Garden Grove, CA location. The Bill of Materials (BOM) Specialist will be responsible for managing and maintaining the Bill of Materials (BOM) for our automotive products.

The BOM Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of product data throughout the lifecycle of automotive development and production. This role requires close collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless operations and product delivery.

What This Role Involves:

  • Creating, updating, and maintaining accurate BOMs for automotive components, subassemblies, and final assemblies.
  • Managing multi-level BOMs, ensuring proper linkage and structure for complex automotive products.
  • Coordinating and implementing Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) or Manufacturing Change Orders (MCOs) affecting the BOM.
  • Performing regular audits of BOM data to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Collaborating with engineering, procurement, and manufacturing teams to ensure BOMs meet production needs and cost targets.
  • Generating BOM reports and metrics to support decision-making, cost analysis, and project tracking.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in BOM management or related roles in the automotive industry.
  • Strong proficiency in PLM/ERP systems for BOM management (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Siemens Teamcenter).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of automotive components, assemblies, and industry standards.
  • Proficiency in Excel and other data analysis tools.
